October 21: UF application process update

Charles Murphy, Director of Freshman and International Admissions

Greetings from Gainesville!

We are writing to let you know that, given the current environment with the coronavirus pandemic, we are moving our application deadline to Monday, November 16. Previously, our deadline was November 1. We’ve heard from students, parents and high school counselors that additional time to apply will be helpful given all that you are juggling right now during the pandemic. We hope these additional two weeks will reduce any stress you are feeling and give you a little more time to complete and submit your application.

Keep in mind that only your application via the Coalition Application or Common Application needs to be submitted by November 16. Below is a summary of all deadlines that you must meet to complete your UF application:

Application Deadlines

  1. Monday, November 16: Application deadline (Common or Coalition Application)

  2. Tuesday, December 1: Student Self-Reported Academic Record (SSAR) deadline
  1. Tuesday, December 15: Deadline to request test scores be sent to UF. Note: taking the SAT on December 5 or the ACT on December 12 will meet this deadline provided that you request scores be sent by December 15.

If you meet all of these deadlines, your admission decision will be available on February 26.
